The 2015 History of Anaesthesia Society Summer Scientific Meeting will be held in Falmouth (Cornwall, UK) on Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th July 2015.
Falmouth is an attractive seaside town/port on the River Fal on the south coast of Cornwall and dates from around 1613. Its harbour and neighbouring Carrick Roads form the third deepest natural harbour in the world, and the deepest in Western Europe. The surrounding area still has evidence of fortifications built by King Henry VIII. Falmouth has road and rail links, and the nearest airport is at Newquay.
Accommodation is reserved from the Thursday afternoon until Saturday morning at the Falmouth Hotel, Castle Beach, TR11 4NZ, where the conference takes place. There will be an Accompanying Persons Trip on the Friday, and a Black Tie Dinner in the hotel that evening.
Those wishing to explore the rest of Cornwall, almost a third of which has Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty designation with the same status and protection as a National Park, can start planning ahead now!
Early in 2015 there will be the usual formal notification and call for papers.
If anyone wants any further information regarding the meeting in particular or Cornwall in general please do not hesitate to get in touch with the HAS President and meeting organiser, Dr John Pring.
